Anecdotal “evidence” isn’t enough to form a base for government policy

And it shouldn’t be enough for a rigorous debate either. Surely the amount of benefit fraud is significantly less than the amount of tax avoided by the very wealthy and corporations and companies, just to start with? That’s not anecdotal, it’s not political, it just is.
