It's not a numbers game, it's a question of who comes. Whether the UK

is better off doing deals constricted by the EU rather than striking our own is open to question. If we were to leave it seems likely that the economics would mean other EU countries would want to continue free trade, whatever the political posturing.

We'd still have to produce stuff which passed EU regs. in order to sell to them. That's not quite the same thing as having to deal with a lot of associated stuff about how you run your business.
