There is a lot of youths playing at colt and schools level and I believe

it is a question of the quality of the coaching at grass roots level.
I am an FA qualified coach and run an U14 team and you would not believ the level of coaching that some of the opposition teams get. I.E fouling/fighting/swearing very much encouraged.
The FA are trying to bring everyone into line via the charter standard scheme but as it is voluntary then anyone can just start up a team and enter it into the league. It is time for more structure at youth league level and insistance on qualified coaches
