although that argument against the Euro is a bit overblown imo

even with sterling what's good for London is very just as often not what's good for 'The North'

and with the Euro what's good for Berlin is also likely to be good for Dublin but not good for Mayo, in Ireland, or former parts of East Germany

much as happens with bigger countries the USA is not the same everywhere, nor is Russia or China or Canada

the Euro as a currency does take more work - but it does take work everywhere and no country has it perfect just because it is a single country
