Why do you think I’m some sort of Delia fan?

As I said, we replaced Maddison with numerous players. You can find plenty of posts on here about how we have allegedly more strength in depth now he’s gone (I am not of this opinion, actually). In the past we would have tried to get by with fewer.

Why do you think Delia despised the Sky money? Because she said she doesn’t like the inequality it promotes? You make it seem as if she’s cutting off her nose to spite her face. My assumption, FWIW, she would gladly accept the money as a result of us being successful.

As for the Sutton point, there’s no way you can compare selling a 30 goal a season international quality striker to an albeit decent Championship midfielder. That’s how it was different. Mike Sheron was not a replacement - Maddison became indirectly Howson’s relacement.
