How is replacing Fox with Neil Adams any different to replacing

Maddison and Murphy with Buendia or McClean or whoever in our midfield you take to be their replacement?

Or how is selling Sutton to Blackburn (for what at the time was a British record transfer fee as I recall) any different from selling Howson to Middlesbrough who were and are a divisional rival?

The reasons may be different but ultimately its the same really.

Chase thought we had enough in the tank to stay up and to be honest we should have done after we beat the sc*m at home that season with several games left. It was a freak run really that took us down with the other big error/moment was of course not having/finding a better back up keeper after Gunn broke his ankle.

All in all Chase screwed up because instead of kicking on from a position of strength he thought we could be thrifty and still stay up and we didn't and got relegated at the worst possible moment really when you look at the sky money and how it changed things.

Deli & MWJ and the board have similarly wasted numerous good opportunities over recent years through poor decision making and whether you like it or not we are now a "selling club." The only reason we have not sold as much in the last few years is due to the sky money Delia so despises, that's what has sustained the club. "Selling club" is the model we have switched to in order for them to retain ownership and hand over their train set to little Tommy. We are like a modern day Crewe Alexandra.
