But only Chase has lied to the fans about it.

And having lied to us about Sutton I see no reason why Chase didn't lie to O'Neill about the fiscal backing he would have to get us promoted (Windass)

In summary:
Not getting Windass = Megson = stagnation and fans' anger = spiralling debt = near-bankruptcy = slashing of youth set up = no 'free' players (= loans & Div3?)
