i really don't think they are

i think they do realise that is is is a fait accompli but desperately want to ensure that whilst they remain in control that whatever happens, the clubs future stability is as secure as possible. Over all the highs and lows during their tenure they have rescued the club and built an enviable product (despite the mediocre fayre on the pitch). The sands are slipping through their fingers now it seems.
