And, actually, the amount of money he has demonstrates that he is a businessman before anything else. So I suspect that he just isn't the type of bloke to put ?5 million into the pot and see what happens. Even Delia and Michael expected control for the investment they made, so I don't think that is particularly a valid criticism.

But I'm sure you are right that this is now a bid that the current board don't welcome, and unlike Di Stefano Cullum actually has the money. I suspect that the reason Cullum has gone public now is that he feels that next season will be another struggle - or is there another show in town?
