But somebody needed to be in total control in October, and focused on nothing other than appointing the new man.
Going through a change at boardroom level would have muddied that process.

Yes we needed the money, we needed the right manager a hell of a lot more though, as GR's sucess with our pathetic funding showed.

The error for me, is the fact Delia Et Al have clearly not re-visted this deal once the season was over.
