To play devils advocate, was october the right time for this?

Were either searching for, or just appointing (at the end of Oct) a new manager.

Had we taken this deal then, it would have delayed the appointment of GR, who could have then ended up elsewhere.
Or, we could have appointed a new manager, then changed ownership to someone who may not have fancied him.
How would ANOTHER change last season have affected us?

Also, these things are not painless, lots of disruption, loss of focus perhaps, maybe the funds for the loan signings such as Tiny are not there in November as the changes take place.
We don't then go on our mini run.......
Yes Money in Jan may have helped, but by then we could have been well adrift.

We stayed up, so job done. We'll never know what might of have happened, but there is no guarantee what so ever taht it would have been better than what we did achieve.

That is though, no excuse for ignoring him now, I would expected them to get to the end of the season, then ring him up and say "ok peter, we've got through this year, lets talk".
