I think what Michael Vaughan in probably guilty off is a questionable sense of humour and

probably an over inflated ego due to people laughing at his gags whilst in positions of power.

I've always found him somewhat irritating since he became a commentator but i don;t think he deserves to be hung out to dry over waht at worst seems to be some sort of clumsy joke (assuming there is not more we are not hearing about). people need to get a sense of perspective.

Rafiq himself puts it well.
