Ultimately doesn't it come down to global fanbase?

I can't see how we could ever progress without a bigger ground, much higher attendances and a global brand. The top teams make absolute millions from selling tat to Asia and beyond.

Maybe selling to some Chinese investors could push us to the next level but as we know that comes with serious risks.
