I've never regarded it as remotely plausible that while Championship or even League 1 clubs get bought up left, right and centre - while Watford, Palace, Bournemouth etc get ambitious owners looking to cement Premier League status - a club which has been in the world's highest profile league for much of this decade, which gets gates of 25000 plus every home game, and is the biggest club in an entire region, has somehow been constantly overlooked.

It's because they won't sell. It's that simple. And she as good as admitted it to Henry Winter. And worse: she thinks it's a great thing, a virtue, that she won't consider offers!

Incidentally - I'm sure I remember others pointing that interview out to you at the time it was published. Quite understandably, you couldn't get your head round the idea that they'd never entertain offers - who in their right minds would have such an attitude? Answer: them. And it's right there in black and white.
