Thing is we keep calling these guys terrorists and assuming that they are trying to
achieve the traditional goal of terrorists, which is to paralyse the populace, freeze the economy and thereby force governments into dialogue over one or more political aims.
These t**ts are trying to force a European backlash toward Muslims to convince them that they are the only solution and therefore strengthen their numbers and legitimacy of the caliphate to a point where they are no longer opposable. Ideologically they would then push the caliphate into Europe and force the Armageddon which would be their glory.
I'm not sure I believe that the real leaders of Isis truly believe the latter part. Wouldn't be surprised if they are using that as an excuse for the first part of it which is simply expanding power.
