Ched Evans rape case ring any bells?

Parties agree sex happened, disagree over whether consent freely given.

A lot of rape would be impossible to prosecute if you couldn't advance a case primarily on the evidence of the accused's testimony.

(I'm led to believe the CPS do a tough job reasonably well. I do civil non-contentious work so have no first hand experience)
