And at the vast bulk of clubs, when things off the field aren't right, it doesn't matter who the manager is: the problems remain. Each new manager has his own ideas reagrding players and signings, meaning others stay on good wages, and the club gets into ever more financial difficulty. Because these are serious problems, which will take two or three years to sort out - and sacking the manager without real cause to do so just puts you back at the start, all over again.
