the giveaway hoofball clues for me:

i) a insistence on playing a 'big man' upfront, even when he's s**te and we create so many more chances with someone feeding off McVeigh.

ii) the centre midfielders we buy. saf aside, they're all athletes (supposedly). in other words, people who can run fast enough to get their in time for a thorne knockdown (I'm yet to see one of these though).
