1. It’s funny because:
It’s clearly not true
Hence it has absurd value
The “reveal” of the £20 line
Humour is based on transgression of moral codes

2. It’s not offensive because:
It’s a well known trope
The absurdity means Oh, why the f**k am I even trying to explain this? You know, I know, I know you know and you’re just making a rather tired point. What’s more, tudders and I know each other well enough to get away with a hell of a lot more than a “your mum” joke.
