I'm a regular gym user focusing on resistance training (weights)

I only costume one protein shake a day post workout as it contains the optimum amount of carbs, protein and creatine. To be honest I'd rather get my macros from real food, ie meats and veg and sweet potato.

Whenever I'm cutting I drop my carbohydrates to less than 40g a day with the aim of getting into ketosis where the body will start to use stored fat as energy as you won't be eating enough carbs for fuel.

I would recommend taking BCAA's when training as they aid recovery.
