by common consensus, the players were good enough to have us in the promotion picture - hence why Neil was sacked. The board, and nearly all fans, obviously thought he should be getting a lot more out of the team. A team, which hasn't changed too much. You could even argue that having Maddison and Gunn are upgrades on Howson and Ruddy.

Despite inconsistent results, that team was scoring goals for fun, just needed the defence shoring up. Now we've changed philosophy and can hardly score at all, and are getting poorer results.
