what makes you so sure the change of tactics and philosophy is going to work

and future proof the club any more than going all out for promotion this season, a season when we could call on Maddison, Pritchard, Hoolahan, Tettey, Gunn etc...

Wouldn't it be better to start the future proofing and change the philosophy of the club the season after they have gone, not while you still have them.
