From what I have read the artcile just listed his achievments and the fact the clubs statement was a bit terse (which it was)

How is that Wholly inaccurate.

The fact the club still suggests their terse statement was wholly appropriate suggests the following.

The club are not happy with his actions.

We can all guess what this means.

Thinking about the whole situation and McNallys reaction suggest that McNally is actually protecting Platt.

Meaning its hypothetically possible Platt could have committed some offence that was deemed serious and inappropriate by the club?

Maybe? after 30 years service it was suggested he be allowed to resign and walk away with dignity.

If this is the case, McNally is getting a rough ride because he is actually taking the high road.

If the above seanrio were true I think McNally should take a lot of credit.
