I know archant has a bad history of not checking sources......

I just dont understand why they just dont contact the club and ask why didnt they give him a better send off?

Lets be fair, the statement was a bit terse.

Did Cuffley know some non-public details?

Even if s**t went down, the club could have taken the high road and could have listed some of his achievements/efforts at the club over 30 years.

Its not like the guy had been there 5 mins.

30 years and he gets a short "club statement"

The exact same kind of statement managers get when booted out the door.
