The issue here is that contrary to your claim that the fact is proven, it isn’t fully proven and simply moves subjectivity down the line. Thats what VAR has done from the start. Instead of the ref making a judgment call on the field now, VAR (humans) make that judgment call based on super slow motion replays.

As we see, they still make decisions that are controversial. Not every one fans argue about in my opinion but there are still some.

So if you’ve got the tech, use it fully and don’t simply shift the accountability to another human.

Since VAR came in I think 90% of football talk especially the day after is about micro detail in officiating decisions and no longer about the actual game. Thats a proper shame.
