I disagree. Offside is a question of fact

Why introduce subjectivity?

The simple question is, if the linesman had known it had brushed his head, would he have given it offside? And the answer is obviously yes. The linesman didn’t have all the facts when making the original decision.

Yes, on decisions that are a matter of judgement, var should only intervene when there is clear evidence the ref got it wrong. But that is (mostly) what it’s doing, isn’t it?
