sorry to hear of your situation, been going through similar so can empathise, it's a wild ride. would recommend a trip to see your gp and solicit his advice re care funding options for your mother. it may be that if she is in palliative care then the state will fund her end of days care. ideally if you can then it would be prudent to get power of attorney (x 2) over her financial and property affairs and her health and welfare matters.

start looking for a care home now and seek advice from professional bodies.

top tip: you cannot do this on your own no matter how strong you think you are, it will grind you into the ground and break you if you try.
