And I think teams like Brighton, Leeds, palace etc, that occupy that space of being the non-big club rest of the league with varying degrees of success season in season, probably throw Fulham in there too, are able to sign players for £10m or so up to £20m and have them not work out, but not be f**ked by that.

Gilmour to Brighton for example, if we splashed that cash we’d be expecting a star. He’s a bench player for them.

Brighton a bad example in some ways because they’ve had so much cash put in, but in some other ways a good example that shows the gulf in resources in the PL.
