I didn't even think we were more solid last season. Still felt like we gave up a couple of good chances per game when teams got in our faces, but were demonstrably s**tter at attacking.

We were better later on in the season when we went for it a little more and Emi was really at his best.

I guess my overall point was that getting too hung up on whether 4-3-3 was right or 4-2-3-1 was right isn't the main point. The main point is that our players haven't been good enough.

FWIW, I think 4-3-3 was the right option as playing on the break with effective, pacey wingers, is clearly going to work quite well for a side that doesn't have much of the ball. I expect Dean Smith will want to adopt 4-3-3 next season.
