And you underestimate the massive advantage the parachute payments give you these days. West Brom's fans almost universally think they've been terrible this season but they are still 4th. Even after an absolutely horrendous start Sheff U are only 8 points off the playoffs with 4 games in hand. Even the players we have are easily good enough to be in the thick of a Championship promotion hunt.
