that's clearly not true

if we locked down every flu season like we did for covid then deaths would fall massively. We certainly don't do everything possible to prevent flu deaths.

With flu we, as society, accept that there will be several thousand deaths each year, in exchange for not disrupting normal life. We take measures which have little or no impact for most people.

We have to find the same balance for Covid, which should be a public discussion. Perhaps measures need to be a bit stricter, but how much stricter depends on how many deaths society is prepared to tolerate.

In any case, comparing deaths from a disease, to deaths from genocide is utterly ridiculous.
