I would say it’s pretty hard to argue that such a decision wouldn’t be prejudicial to the clubs impacted. So as you say the test is whether the prejudice is unfair. I would still maintain that there is at least an arguable case that even viewed objectively it is. Especially if we are being asked to give our share to a team also promoted on PPG.

Who knows if it will see court. Chances are the games get played and it becomes irrelevant. If not then maybe a credible threat of legal action might be enough to bring a negotiated solution. Certainly I can’t see the likes of Villa or West Ham accepting PPG but then I’m also not sure you will get 14 teams voting for one specific PPG formula anyway.
