You're about to get a lot of people recommending wherever they happen to live
I'd ask - what does she want? eg - very urban? (So lots of cafes, bars and new restaurants, noise and hubbub, no green space.)
Or is she a bit older and might want a bit more space, access to parks or green spaces?
How important is a v short commute? Does she want to be able to cycle easily to work (increasingly doable in London if you choose the right area)?
Does she want to be a bit more frontline - edgier, but more going on? Or feel a bit more comfortable and completely safe (but possibly a bit more bored...)?
How quickly and easily does she want to be able to get into the centre of london, for galleries, cinemas, restaurants there etc.?
those kinds of questions. Answers to a few of those and I'd be able to suggest a few places. Otherwise not really enough information - there are too many different choices.
those kinds of questions...
