I think you've got confused

I'm not saying I necessarily disagree with the approach we are taking; just that it is as much a gamble as any other approach. And that dismissing any opinions that do not fully back the approach we have taken is ridiculous - because ultimately, it may well not work. Whereas other approaches could have seen us promoted this season. Of course, we'll never know though.

Obviously the board should support the manager and director of football 100%, whoever they are. But committing to supporting a largely unproven DOF and manager undertaking a massive overhaul of the squad and playing philosophy, is undoubtedly more of a gamble than some of the other options.

In the process we have failed to fully capitalize on perhaps the only season we will have of Maddison. Perhaps the last season of Tettey ,Hoolahan Gunn and Oliveira. Certainly the last season with Pritchard and Jerome. All in the name of a long term plan led by a couple of unproven guys.

Hopefully it will work, maybe it won't. But presenting this as the only logical way to solve our financial situation is incorrect imo. We've taken a gamble and supporters are well within their right to question it if they don't buy into it, as other alternatives were possible.

Jim's view and that of other people a bit more sceptical, is every bit as reasonable as those fully backing the new approach.
