no-one is saying to bet all the money on gambling for promotion. There is a balance of reducing the wage bill and liabilities while still making signings aimed at making an immediate impact, rather than ones that may come good after 3 or 4 windows when the team is complete.

A more immediate term plan using experienced Championship players and managers, under the same budgetary constraints as we have now, is no more of a gamble than a long term plan putting everything in the hands of Farke and Webber imo.
