As far as I’m aware no teams have taken up the option so far. Also don’t think it was
intended to be short notice. They could have chosen it when the initial schedule was announced. If a game has to be postponed at short notice due to the weather then it’s the same as anywhere else.
Also weather is not more predictable here. It’s a few degrees colder in winter and warmer in summer but is otherwise very similar and if anything even less predictable on a daily basis.
I mentioned Germany and the Netherlands because they are examples of it being successful.
Oh. And wipe the Netherlands is smaller, away games can be four hours travel, and germany certainly is not smaller.
