All this talk about Football having a mid Winter break....

....Generally supposed to be a couple of weeks in January. However (and I haven't researched this) I'm pretty sure that often the most disruptive weather is in February and March. So having a Winter break in January will just lead to major fixture chaos later in the season if the bad weather turns up later. Stupid idea in my view - what they could do is play more fixtures in August / September to spread the fixture programme out more though I accept that idea also has many faults.
