I picked on foreign investors because they seem to be lauded as a panacea
As I said in another post, it’s always going to be a divisive issue, particularly when the results being served up are frustrating.
But, anyone that thinks we should take a chance on new owners just because they aren’t Delia is as blinkered on it as Larry. Not putting you or anyone else in that category particularly, just get the sense there are quite a few out there that want that (from the vitriol spouted on the Facebook group).
Delia is in a difficult position; she and Michael invested at a time when the club needed it for its survival. If the club wasn’t in that position, maybe she wouldn’t have done. With that as her priority, taking a decision to sell to someone else will, not unreasonably, come with the condition that they meet her requirements as a custodian of the future of the club.
There’s no magic solution.
