PM: Larry Hagman. Re: new ownership
There are many different kinds of owners in football. There are good owners, and there are shysters. There are good domestic owners and shyster domestic owners; there are good foreign owners and shyster foreign owners.
There are some owners who do indeed mortgage the future of their club. There are others who don't, and who do fantastic jobs.
You're perfectly entitled to have your concerns about new owners or point towards clubs where it's gone wrong. Fair enough. You're not entitled to keep ramming down our throats the idea that any new owners of Norwich would inevitably put our future at risk. You're not entitled to treat something which happens at some clubs as though it happens at all clubs. It doesn't. So your viewpoint is, not to put too fine a point on it, bollocks.
In their infinite wisdom, the board have ruled out the possibility of foreign ownership, whether good or bad. Given that we don't have a pot to piss in, while alarming numbers of Championship clubs are embracing the future and leaving us well behind, that is insane. And is what rightly enrages so many of us.
