And what's the point of even risking it?

To reduce the 0.4% population growth that EU immigration represents? Plus it wont happen, as we need the numbers to sustain economic growth.

To cut the 1% of spending that our net EU contribution represents? (Which unrealistically assumes we get no benefits in return...) We spend more on foreign aid than we do the EU.

To 'take back control' and leave it in the hands of a party that most people haven't voted for, in a system where 30% of constituencies never change party? And at the same time losing any control whatsoever on the rules that our largest trading partner sets for those wishing to trade with it?

Brexit just seems a really cack-handed solution to a problem that barely exists.
