ok, the government spend money on and for normal people

education, nhs, policing, flowerbeds on roundabouts, pensions, jobseekers allowance, keeping the Queen in swan burgers, etc. (we're talking all forms of govenement here cos the governement give money to councils to spend too)

even if they cut down on the swan burgers, they're also likely to cut down on the roundabouts for the normal people, or raise taxes, or both.
