rubbish - that's just looking at the outcome not the process

they identify a style of play and identify signings based on that - regardelss of who the manager is. Michu and Bony may have got the goals, but they have gone from strength to strength after selling both. It's their settled style of play and signings based on that which has served them well.

We have chopped and changed with four managers with completely different styles in the last four years. Every window means an upheaval and big turnover of the squad.

This window is the most encouraging because we seem to have more of a plan and are making a distinction between long term signings who are flexible in the style of play that we are spending money on Brady/Dorrans - and short term fixes which we are using loans for.
