Amazing, people talk about feeling 'that' feeling when the young'uns leave home...

but that's kind of different ball game. Was going to ask if you're worried but then stupid question really. Knowing your words on here over the years Mr Tombs, if your son had no interest in the forces, I doubt he would have had an issue in telling you!! Know the RAF is different but the places my uncle and my cuz's got to go, just can't buy it can you! I still think I'd find it difficult to shoot, not the gun, shot the old air rifle when I was very very young with Grandad, and not joking, he could his the picklle tomato every every time. My first response I think will always be to talk but then, if you join up in the forces, ulitmately that's the job. In between though, bet there's very few people who've played cricket against the rest of the forces on an island in the sun and huge bbq after. Life is about moments/periods of time really. He'll become Second Lieutenant within 4 years is my bet. :)
