In what way isn't it true

I'm not saying it always happens, because some teams do a better job of the buying/selling business. I'm simply saying it SHOULD make it easier - if all other things are equal - to improve if you buying is higher than your selling.

My point is that Saints have improved more than Villa despite the buying/selling maths because their people have done a much better job (that isn't all down to the manager, who is only part of the structure, but part of it surely is?)

What problem do you have with argument? How does selling more than you buy make it EASIER to improve?
