He's had ups and downs as well

Things haven't always been rosy - like at the moment, Charlton have lost their last 5 on the trot...but the board have continued to back him, and he's pulled things around from similar or worse situations in the past.

They've spent pretty heavily over the last few years to push on to Europe but it's never quite worked out.

No, Worthy probably won't pull this one out of the fire, but over the first 3 years and (depending on how the board view last season, 4) he's done a decent enough Curbishley impression.
