Either way, they want to be bloody sure of two things

Firstly that he *isn't* going to turn it around.

And secondly, that they can find a *better* replacement.

They have invested an awful lot of time and money in Worthy, they have a good working relationship with him, they (Seem to) like him personally, and they have been rewarded with at least three years of good results (Depends if you view last year as largely a success or largely as a failure).

Has he lost the plot entirely, and more importantly, can they get someone better? There's no point sacking him if the nett result isn't an improvement.
