it IS asking a lot , yes....

the victim HAS to make a call of how much force he uses. This is the law! Many courts will be sympathetic and penient if the victim can prove he used a reasonable amount of force in the given situation. If he was getting attacked its acceptable to defend yourself. If the burgler hasnt attacked or threatened our life, you cant attack the burgler.

tough, but the law is protecting the victim as well.
