I don't know, maybe funding should be allocated differently but there comes a point

where you can;t keep expanding an existing school.

I do agree with you that in an ideal world we wouldn't need free schools and the state would be able to deliver consistently good schools across the board with enough capacity for all who want to go to them.

Unfortunately they can't at present and with the population growth going on they need to find some sort of solution. I reckon most free schools will end up being extremely good schools, particularly as many parents will have such an interest in them.
