If it is in October you'll probably be able to consider Windows again cos I think

8 will be out then, which again extends the lifetime.

I will admit a few things aside I really like Windows Phone 7.5, especially the People functions. Just if the rumours are true then the app supply will run out very quickly if you buy now, as new apps will no doubt be Windows 8 only when that is released in Q3/4 2012
