Thing is, I'd be careful about going the GP too, because I ripped all the joints in my

shoulder playing water polo

Gp's advice, "there's nothing wrong with your joints, they're quite healthy actually, you need to get some dumb bells lift them above your head etc etc"

3 months of physio later, I braved the dumb bells, and back in the pool. It took another month of slow swimming and lightweights before I could feel comfortable increasing power

So on the one hand, yeah, go and see your doctor. But if they give you s**t advice, then it's just as damaging as suggesting all chiropractors just want your money
